Public Transportation

BRS Computing is in Westchester County, NY, an area served by several forms of public transportation:

Train Service - The most convenient train station near our office is the MTA Metro-North Harlem Division Hawthorne station.  There is a taxi stand at the station, which is about a 10 minute drive from the BRS offices.  For train information, call 1-800-638-7646, or in NYC call 212-532-4900.  To access the Metro-North web site, click on the MTA link above.

Bus Service - There are Westchester Bee-Line bus stops directly in front of the BRS office on Columbus Avenue at Lozza Drive, and at The Summit office park.  For information on the Bee-Line schedule, call 1-914-682-2020 between 7am and 7pm Monday through Friday.

Airports - BRS is located less than 10 miles from the Westchester County Airport, and within about 60 miles of the four major metropolitan NY airports:  LaGuardia, JFK, Stewart, and Newark (NJ).  Westchester County Airport is located near White Plains, and about 10 miles from the BRS offices.  All regional airports offer a variety of local transportation options such as car and bus services, taxis, and in the case of JFK, train service.  Due to the distances and locations, travel from the metropolitan airports can be delayed due to adverse traffic conditions, and additional travel time must be allowed.  Check with your travel agent or airline for recommendations on airport and connections.

Taxi Tips - Local taxi service is available throughout Westchester County.  If staying at a hotel, inquire about available services.  When giving a taxi or car service driver the BRS address, mention that we are located on Columbus Avenue across  from The Summit office park.  From the Hawthorne train station, typical taxi fare is $5 one way, not including tip.  At the major metropolitan airports (LaGuardia, JFK, Stewart, and Newark, NJ), expect to pay from $60 to $120 for taxi or car service transportation, not including tip.  Note that some hotels may arrange complimentary or low-cost transportation from the airport - check with your hotel BEFORE arriving.  Pricing, service, and schedules are subject to change.
