BRS offers a claim removal service, which allows for removal of processed or transferred claims prior to re-transmission by BRS.  This provides the ability to remove claims from your transmission file after the claims have been transmitted by modem to BRS, but before re-transmission to WebMD-emdeon Business Services or insurers.  If you made a mistake in claims preparation, this gives you one last chance to have the claim removed before it is sent to the insurance company.  However, due to the speed with which claims are handled at BRS, you only have a short time to arrange removal.  Every business day, all claims are sent out from BRS around noon (EDT), so we must be contacted before 11:30 am with claim removal instructions. 

To remove a claim, we need your patient account number, suffix number, and form number (the insurance claim is identified by a number in the format aaaa - s / f , where aaaa is the account number, s is the suffix number, and f is the form number).  In addition, we may request the patient name and form total in order to verify form information.
